Suzanne Sherkin, CPO, Highborne Communications

Suzanne Sherkin, CPO of Highborn Communications has been a professional communicator for 25 years. Dynamic with a flair for motivation, she’s trained ministers how to handle the media, written speeches for politicians, helped presidents of companies deliver dynamite speeches. She’s received awards for her own speeches. She’s received awards for her writing. She’s been published in journals across the country.

Suzanne knows how to communicate well .. in person, in writing and on the phone. She’s developed a great model for how you too can be a good communicator. She can teach you skills that will help your business and your life TODAY!

Here is a Toronto Talks Tip from Suzanne:

"I've been in the communication business for about 30 years, and have done a whole lot of things in the field, including being a TV reporter, a media skills trainer, a speech writer, a communication strategist, and a speaking coach. I've learned a thing or two about what motivates people, what inspires them, what scares them, and what makes them succeed. I figure it comes down to one important lesson:

It doesn't matter how smart you are, how many degrees you have, how much money you make, or how big your corner office is. How people perceive you is everything! How much they want you on their team, how interested they are in doing business with you, how willing they are to work for you, what they say behind your back ... It has EVERYTHING to do with how you communicate. Good communication leads to good relationships, and good relationships lead to getting the results you want.

The more tuned in you are to your own communication style and the effect you have on others, the more effective you'll be in every aspect of your life!
