Our information security and compliance guru, Ron Lepofsky, of ERE Information Security will describe how Jan 1 2004 will change the way Canadian companies will be obligated to protect personal information, under (The Canadian)Privacy Act and PIPEDA.
As well, Ron will discuss how and why companies will need to be audited for compliance to the privacy protection laws. "Social engineering: May we discuss this topic in public?"
Paul Ankorn, also of ERE Information Security, will describe and demonstrate how testing for susceptibility to social engineering is definitely on the table for discussion, and why it is integral to the auditing for compliance to new privacy protection laws. Paul will not only demonstrate the meaning of social engineering, but he will intrigue us with a "show and tell" of his ultra-high-tech surveillance and recording gear.
