This Toronto Talks Event taking place on Tuesday February 24th 7 p.m. is being held at Metro Hall, Room 303. Metro Hall is located at 55 John Street in downtown TO. John Street is west of University Ave, and runs north and south between King and Wellington.
Levi will be giving an overview of the global economy today, and how we reached where we are today. What is being done by the governments globally and what the expected results, or hopeful results will be. This will also encompass the current snapshot of fundementals, strengths and weaknesses of developing and emerging markets. What things may take place as the economies turn the corner and move forward through a recovery. Through the recovery what markets have the greatest potential and why.
He will also look into some of the more specific stories from some of these regions and will likely get called in by guests to explain the why invest now theme, but the broad themes are above.
About Levi Folk
Levi Folk is President and cofounder of Generation Capital Inc. He is the former Director of Research, Fund Library Research Group and owner of The Fund Library website. He is an established mutual fund analyst and writer in Canada. Prior to founding Generation Capital, Levi has been writing a weekly column in the National Post Investing section featuring the Fund Library Research Group’s OnTheSpot™ Reports. He appears regularly on Report on Business Television and other print and broadcast media.
Levi has worked as an analyst, writer and publisher in the mutual fund industry over the past decade. He published the Mutual Fund Review magazine a successful consumer magazine with an audited circulation of over 100,000 readers, and sold his publishing business in February 2000.
Levi has an MA in economics from the University of Toronto and got his start as a foreign exchange research analyst for the Bank Credit Analyst in Montreal, a world renowned investment research house. He has appeared in the Financial Times of London, The Globe and Mail and National Post newspapers.
