Disability Insurance Unplugged

If you are a self-employed consultant working in the Internet space, you should consider purchasing disability insurance. You might be asking yourself, what are the chances of becoming disabled for a period of more than 90 days before you reach the age of 65? At the age of 35, you have a 50 percent chance of become disabled for more than 90 days. And if your disability did last 90 days, the average length of time for disability would be 2.8 years.
